The promise. Then the reality.
After being laid off as an electrician, Jacob saw an opportunity in life insurance. He bought leads, then bought more. He pieced together scripts from free content. The effort was there. A repeatable process wasn’t.
More opportunities matter. What you do with them matters, too. Build your conversation skills—and your career—with deliberate practice, honest feedback, and an agency behind you.
Skill-first development. Client-first conversations. Booking opens OnceHub in a new tab.
Protection. Income. Legacy.
“How many sales are you losing
because you don’t have the skills?”
Jacob didn’t enter life insurance with a perfect script or a ready-made path. He entered willing to work. Learning how to turn that effort into better conversations changed his direction.
After being laid off as an electrician, Jacob saw an opportunity in life insurance. He bought leads, then bought more. He pieced together scripts from free content. The effort was there. A repeatable process wasn’t.
A question at the gym made him look differently at the opportunities he was missing. A sales conversation with a skilled professional showed him what he still had to learn. More activity alone wasn’t the answer.
Six months of showing up, joining live calls, drilling and practicing. Questions, tone and listening became something to work on—not something to hope would improve.
That experience shapes the agency we’re building: a place for agents who want to sharpen their skills, take feedback seriously and stop trying to figure everything out alone.
Hear Jacob’s story in his podcast conversation.
Buying more leads can create more opportunities. It doesn’t automatically improve the conversation. We focus on the part an agent can develop: curiosity, clarity, listening and practice.
Start with them. Lower the pressure. Understand the outcome they want.
Talk with JacobThe same conversation-first ideas in Jacob’s story, shared in a room full of sales professionals. A look at the person behind the training—not just the words on a page.

Jacob’s skill-development focus is one part of the picture. The agency model brings together a clearer way to get started, people to learn with, and support for the work behind the sale.
Develop the questions, listening and tonality that help you understand clients. Put the work into practice and use feedback to improve—not just add another script to your folder.
Work through licensing, appointments and contracting requirements with an organized onboarding path. Understand the resources, expectations and terms before you move forward.
Know where to turn for illustrations, new-business questions and pending-case coordination. A central operations contact helps keep the right people in the loop.
Clients’ needs don’t always stop at your experience or licensing. Learn how to identify when specialist collaboration is appropriate, rather than trying to be everything to everyone.

Jacob’s supplied group screenshot reports an IUL case with an annual premium value of $240,000. That describes policy premium—not agent earnings, commissions or client returns.

Daniel shares his experience working with Jacob: hands-on coaching, sales practice and personal support as he entered the insurance industry.
An individual’s account, not independently verified or a promise of typical results. Daniel also describes advertising support he personally received; that does not mean paid ads, leads or the same support are included for every agent. Availability and terms must be discussed individually.
One-on-one coaching. A workshop that clicked. Personal progress worth sharing. Feedback shared with Jacob, in the writers’ own words.
“…have been steadily trending upwards with the help of @Jacob Griak and our other specialists.”
“Shout out to @Jacob Griak for the 1:1 coaching that's been paramount to the momentum shift!!”
“My workshop today went great… And it worked so well!!”
“Anyway, thanks to you, I've had my two biggest months back to back.”
“…book with ma man Jacob.”

Not every agency is right for every agent. We want both sides to understand the fit before making a commitment.
Your experience, where you’re getting stuck, and the kind of business you want to build.
Discuss licensing, support, costs, compensation and the actual terms of working together.
If there’s a mutual fit, work through onboarding and the practice needed for your role.
Bring questions, take feedback, and keep improving the way you serve clients.
A few things worth understanding before you explore the opportunity.
Book with JacobThis is an agency recruiting site, with skill development at its center—not a standalone course checkout. The conversation is about whether the agency model, support and expectations fit your goals. Final delivery details and terms will be explained before any commitment.
Insurance and securities activities require the appropriate licensing and appointments. Your current status, experience and intended role need to be reviewed individually. This page does not imply that anyone is authorized to provide services beyond their credentials.
No. There is no guarantee of leads, appointments, production or income. Marketing support, if available, is evaluated individually and is not a universal entitlement. Results depend on many factors, including experience, effort, market conditions and client needs.
They depend on the role and agreed arrangement. Training, technology, marketing, commissions and any relevant expenses should be reviewed clearly in a one-on-one conversation and written terms. Costs and compensation are discussed individually; there is no one-size-fits-all schedule on this site.
Experience is one part of the conversation. Willingness to practice, accept feedback and work responsibly matters, too. Eligibility, onboarding and the support appropriate for a newer agent still need to be assessed—acceptance is not automatic.
Refined Capital is the agency brand presented on this site. References to Refined Financial, RH Capital Advisors or The Refinery should not be read as interchangeable services or credentials. Shared branding is not a statement of legal affiliation or an operating physical campus. Confirm the entity, role and any required credentials for the service you are considering.
If you’re willing to practice, take feedback and put the client first, let’s talk about what building together could look like.
